Tony Almeida Vice President - Customer Relations

Tony Almeida is vice president - customer relations for Duke Energy - Carolinas, a business unit of Duke Energy. He is responsible for increasing growth in jobs and investment in the Piedmont regions of North Carolina and South Carolina. Almeida joined Duke Energy in 1979. After a series of promotions in customer operations, he was named to his present position in May 2003.

He is a member of the board of directors of the Charlotte Airport Advisory Committee, Charlotte Regional Partnership and the Ben Craig Center in Charlotte. He is also a member of the  North Carolina Economic Development Association, the South Carolina Economic  Developers’ Association and the Utility Economic Development Association.
